BOSTON, MA, October 11, 2018 -- The Advanced Cyber Security Center (ACSC) announced today that Chris Zannetos has joined the ACSC board of directors. Chris builds products that address enterprise and consumer security needs, and is an advocate for STEM education. He brings significant insight and experience to the ACSC.

As a serial entrepreneur, Chris founded three security companies including Covered Security, the world’s first personal security assistant, where he is the CEO and co-founder. Covered Security’s app uses habit creation science combined with the automation of IT security solutions to motivate and empower users to strengthen their online security. Prior to Covered, he was the CEO and co-founder of Courion, a market-leading Identity & Access Management software company, reaching $40 million in revenue, over 200 staff members and global expansion. Before that, Chris was a member of the team which founded Onsett International, a strategic IT infrastructure consulting company. Chris is also the founder of STEMatch, a non-profit that brings businesses and schools together to inspire and support STEM education. Chris received both his Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

“I am very pleased to welcome Chris Zannetos to the Advanced Cyber Security Center Board,” said Bill Guenther, Chairman of the ACSC. “Chris’s dedication to protecting both businesses and consumers from cyber security threats as a successful serial entrepreneur, along with his passionate belief in the need for better STEM education, strongly aligns with the ACSC’s mission to support collaborative defense and cyber workforce development.”

“Chris is a longtime leader of the executive security community in New England who brings a diverse set of experiences to the ACSC board of directors,” said Michael Figueroa, Executive Director of the ACSC. “I look forward to having his guidance as we continue building upon the successful foundation the ACSC has created.”

“I am honored to be joining the board of the ACSC,” said Chris Zannetos. “I am excited to be a part of, and contribute to, an institution that brings organizations together to collaborate on the opportunities and challenges in the New England cyber security community today.”
